The retail drop-out
Ever more people stay away from retail. Shoes, TV’s (= big screens you can watch Netflix on), sports nutrition & food are bought online to a higher extent than ever. An entire Chinese generation is living its life through we-chat, coming only to a store when they HAVE TO. Apart from the effect this will have on how the shopping (?) streets will look, the shopper will have less physical contact with product & brands. This will challenge brands across the globe – how to launch a new product and get customer to FEEL & EXPERIENCE products. How do you think these retail drop-offs can be reached?
